THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS

NEW YORK—Comedian
George Burns has been
named recipient of the 1977
Jack Benny Memorial
Award by the March of
Dimes. Burns, a close
friend of the late Benny,
was cited for his "efforts on
behalf of charitable
causes."

The history of our race is
unique. It is the history of a
people that has lived for an
idea, and above all, for the
religious idea.
