Hebrew Union College Moving Effort Aided by Kresge Grant

NEW YORK—The Kresge
Foundation of Troy, Mich..
has informed Dr. Alfred
Gottschalk. president of
Hebrew Union College-Jew-
ish Institute of Religion,
that it will make a chal-
lenge grant of $150,000

toward construction of a
new home for the New York
branch of the college.
The college recently
announced plans to move
from its present building to
a new site adjacent to the
New York University

the $7 million required for
the project already was con-
tributed or pledged and that
the college was certain- it
would meet the time
requirement.
