A TurgcOn and Launce Production

The Best of Everything

DESIGNED TO appeal to
all age groups, the area's
newest restaurant: "Spa-
ghetti Company Too." has
opened at Wonderland Cen-
ter on a former spacious
supermarket site fa ,.!ing
Nfiddlebelt, just south of
Plymouth Rd., in Livonia.
While still surrounded by
acres of parking, it has been
completely transformed
from the entrance in with
an array of early
Americana. -
.The decor, resulting from
a nationwide search, has
stained-glass dividers,
antique chandeliers,_ period
furniture pieces and stand-
outs like an early gas pump
serving as an aquarium....
Combined with wall hang-
ings from years past, plus
bric-a-brac galore, these
create visual changes at
every turn.
The generous space has
been separated into a vari-
ety of large and small
areas. . .Differing eleva-
tions and seating arrange-
ments give the Spaghetti
Company-a capacity of 350
...expanding both the menu
and service offered by the
first one opened in Berkley
in 1975.
In addition to full bar
service, the Spaghetti Corn-
pany features exclusive
house wines by litre, half-
litre or glass as well as an
extensive wine list. . .Musi-
eal entertainment in one -of
the bar areas is a nightly
attraction.
Manager is Roger Petri.
who has served as head chef
at Fox &- Hounds and as
assistant manager at
Archibald's.
The fun aspects of the
Spaghetti Company tarry
through to its menus which
are bordered with illustra-
tions and descriptions of
merchandise from early-
day catalogues. . .Designed
also to serve as mailing
pieces. the menus offer this
bit of lore:
"Let spaghetti bring out
the 'Italian in you! It may
even bring out the Chinese.
the German or the Ameri-
can in you. . .(The Chinese

mans introduced it to
