Medical School in 1939. He
was a fellow of the Acad-
emy of Psychomatic
Medicine.
Mrs. Manning was born in
New York and lived 65
years in Detroit. For the
past 35 years she was the
office manager for her hus-
band's practice. She was a
member of Temple Israel,
Hadassah and Women's
American ORT. The couple
resided at 16215 Roanoke.

Ex-Detroiter Louis Tobin Dies

Lo m's Tobin, for two gen-
erations an active partici-
pant in congregational and
Zionist affairs, died Sept. 25
in New Jersey where he had
made his home with his
daughter for the past three
years. He was 81.
Mr. Tobin's family were
long-time residents of
Northern Michigan before
coming to Detroit 50 years
ago. They were in the jew-
elry business for that length
of time.
Mr. Tobin had many
active roles in Cong.
Shaarey Zedek, the Zionist
Organization of Detroit and
the Jewish National Fund,
thus continuing a family
tradition of devotion to
Zionism.

Dr. Max Siiidman

Dr. Max Roy Saidman, a
practicing dentist for the
past 49 years, died Sept. 28
at age 72.
Dr. Saidman was gradu-
ated from the University of
Michigan's dental school in
1928. He was a member of
the Michigan Dental Associ-
ation and Marshall Lodge of
Bnai Brith.
He is survived by his wife,
Helen; two sons, Dr. Law-
rence J. of San Diego,
Calif., and Dr. Mark H.;
and five grandchildren.
