Clive Baldwin, who will
star in "An Evening With Al
Jolson" at the Detroit Busi-
nessmen's affair, is almost
like Jolie living again.
according to critics who
have heard him...Variety
tells it best... "many a
singer does impressions or
impersonations of Jolson.
but Baldwin doesn't have to
do impressions or imperso-
nations—he sounds just like
Al Jolson." ,

the girl sitting for a portrait
at his studio on Southfield,
who took mind to Herman's
remark that she looked fine
and, in all sincerity. stated
that she had never seen her-

camera...Before Herman
could- say anything. she got
up and began walking over

her face colored with emba-
