Dr. Bernard M. Goldman,
director of Wayne State Uni-
versity Press, announced
this week that "Tradition
and Politics" by Dr. Gary
Schiff (reviewed by Allen
Warsen in the Sept. 2 issue
of the Jewish News) is
being transcribed on re-
cords and tapes to be heard
by the visually handi-
capped.

Dr. Goldman informed
Dr. Schiff that the National
Council of Jewish Women is
producing the master tape
for the Jewish Braille In-
stitute for distribution
among the blind or visually
handicapped.

The pursuit of knowledge
for its own sake, an almost
fanatical love of justice,
and the desire for personal
independence — these are
the features of the Jewish
tradition which make me
thank my stars that I be-
long to it. Albert Einstein
