Dr. Milton J. Steinhardt
of the Sinai Hospital of De-
troit psychiatry staff has re-
cently written a four-part
essay on the psychological
development of Theodor
Herzl. the father of Zion-
ism. The series appeared in

Dr. Steinhardt makes
note of the pathological as-
pects of Herzl's life and
how he changed from a
self-hating Jew to the vision-
ary who sought a Jewish
homeland for his people.
Dr. Steinhardt also is a
consultant in psychiatry to
Grace-Harper Hospital and
to the department of psy-
chiatry at the Wayne State
University School of Medi-
cine.

Summer Projects

NEW YORK (JTA)—
Three co-ed groups of New
York area high school stu-
dents. 22 boys and 22 girls,
have completed a seven-
week commitment to hard
labor in_ public service proj-
ects in the 27th annual sum-
mer work camp project of
the American Jewish So-
ciety for Service.
The projects included
rehabilitating 13 homes in
Springfield, Mass., building
a park in San Miguel. N.M..
and renovation of a school
for high_ school dropouts in
Madison, Wis.

Israel Bond Week
Noted in Atlanta

in tribute to the Israel Bond
