which is en route to Israel.
The two couples were
originally married by
judges. They decided they
wanted to be remarried by
a rabbi in the presence of
the rest of the garin, which
includes Detroiter Beth
Frumkin, Jane Malaschick
of Philadelphia, Roger and
Gail Slaten of Alabama and
their four children, and the
Brutman's two children.
The garin will meet in
New York and fly el Al to
Ben-Gurion Airport.
The group was brought to-
gether by Miss Frumkin, a
former Israel Aliya Center
assistant director. She had
spent 14 months as a volun-
teer on Israeli kibutzim and
made the commitment to
make aliya last year.
Beth worked for over a
year forming a "new fam-
ily"—Garin Netzanim, to
move to Kibutz Bar Am on
the Lebanese border in the
Upper Galilee. "
