More than 100 Russian
Jewish emigrants, who
were doctors in the USSR,
have prepared for their
U.S. licensing examinations
with the help of Stanley
Kaplan.
Kaplan operates more
than 50 test preparation cen-
ters throughout the U.S.
and several overseas.
He said during a Detroit
visit this week that Dr. Er-
nest Leibov, a leading Mos-
cow psychiatrist who emi-
grated to the U.S. was al-
most forced into becoming
a Jew by Stalin's "Doctors
Plot."
"He told me that is what
made him aware that he
was a Jew," Kaplan said.
Dr. Leibov was finally per-
mitted to emigrate in the
1970s.The psychiatrist told
Kaplan that Soviet psy-
chiatrists are not permitted
to use techniques developed
by Freud and other Jewish
psychologists, but must use
only techniques such as "be-
havior modification" devel-
oped by Pavlov.
Kaplan said his schools
have a far greater percent-
age of Jewish students pre-
paring for professional' ex-
aminations than the Jewish
percentage of population.
"In Omaha." he said. "20

"They have to understand
that we are not just plain
stubborn. It is not that we
don't want peace, but we
simply must secure our fu-
ture. World Jewry must un-
derstand that a Palestinian
state headed by the PLO
would mean disaster to Is-
rael."
Dayan repeated, how-
ever, a statement he made
in London that he believed
-Egyptian President Anwar
Sadat was now interested in
peace.
Dayan said that en route
to New York for the Gener-
al Assembly next month he
would stop for one day in
Europe, to again brief .Jew-
ish European leaders of the
latest developments in the
Mideast crisis.

Dayan Denies Secret Talks
While on Brief Europe Trips

JERUSALEM—Foreign
Minister Moshe Dayan de-
nied that he conducted any
secret meetings during his
brief visits to France and
England.
Speaking to newsmen at
Ben-Gurion Airport upon ar-
rival, Dayan said: "I did
not meet King Hussein, nei-
ther did I meet British or
French officials. Whoever
created the fog around my
trip, has the responsibility
to disperse it."
Dayan said the purpose of
his visit to England was
simply as it had been de-
scribed: Explaining to Brit-
ish Jewry the situation in -
the area following the visit
of Secretary of State Cyrus
Vance.
Dayan said he believed it
