Israel's enemies seek to de-

Step-by-step diplomacy has
' meant pressuring Israel
again to withdraw without
peace.
We have not insisted on
demilitarization of the
areas in the Sinai and
Golan which Israel yielded.
And without this real "mili-
tary disengagement," Is-
rael will not withdraw from
other territories, while
Egypt and Syria will be
harder to negotiate with.
Delay, and showing we
can force Israel to yield ter-
ritory without peace, will
strengthen Arab ties to the
Soviet Union, not to us.
Oil - and modern tech-
nology make the Middle
East more important to the
security of Europe than
ever before, and a strong Is-
rael more essential to pro-
tecting the legitimate inter-

World Assembly
H its Terrorism
MEXICO CITY (JTA) —
Delegates from 19 nations
participating in the Third
Assembly of Parliaments
from Latin America and
Western Europe passed a
strong resolution con-
demning international ter-
rorism as a crime against
mankind. The resolution
called on all governments
to refuse havens to terror-
ists.
The delegates also urged
respect for human rights
and denounced the use of
force to settle disputes.
"We speak the same lan-
guage common to our civ-
ilization," said Emilio Co-
lombo, president of the Eu-
ropean Parliament, "and
we look for a common lan-
guage about the problems
of the world today."
