Semitic propaganda cam-
paigns have been de-
nounced by leaders of the
free world.
Recently, a document en-
titled "Charter 77" was pub-
lished in the West with
more than 1,000 signatures
of Czechoslovakian citizens.
This important human
rights paper calls for an
end to discrimination
against children of the 1968
reformers led by Dubcek;
an end to work abuses and
restraints on labor leaders'
rights to organize ; an end
to the requirement that of-
fice holders renounce their
religions; and an end to var-
ious other repressive meas-
ures.

young adults state as their
purpose to provide an
educational program that
will:
• Give young people an ac-

history of the Arab-Israeli

• Emphasize the impor-

tending democratic in-
stitutions in the Middle
East;
• Explain the nature of
American interests in the
Middle East and ' explore
the kind of policies that will
further the cause of peace
and democracy; and
. Arouse student aware-

Israel's existence and work

four signers who were ar-
rested were Jews.)
The government has is-
sued defamatory literature
under the pen name of "Jiri
Bohatka" making Jews col-
laborators with Nazis. It is
currently selling abroad an
anti-Semitic book entitled
"Zionism and Anti-Semi-
tism," published in 1970 in
Prague.
Unfortunately, there has
been little adverse response
from the 6,000 Jews living
in Czechoslovakia. In par-
ticular, the Czechoslovakian
Jewish community fully
identifies with the govern-
ment on "Charter 77" and
has even published a state-
ment to that effect.
Other signs of repression
of human rights in Czecho-
slovakia include the fact
that 700 non-Jewish Czecho-
slovakian children are still
waiting to join their parents
from whom they were for-
cibly separated in 1968 be-
cause their parents partici-
pated in the 1968 revolt.
In September, 1976, four
rock musicians were sen-
tenced to prison terms of 18
months because of their
"anti-socialist" outlook.
