Born in New York, Mrs. Kaplan lived most of her life in Detroit. She worked in various department stores in Detroit, Ypsilanti, and Ann Arbor from 1923 to 1953. She was the oldest mem- ber of Adat Shalom Syna- gogue. She also was a mem- ber of American Mizrachi Women, Jewish National. Fund, Sheruth League, Ladies Home Relief So- e;-ty, National Council of sh Women, Women's ORT, Hadassah, Bnai Brith and was active in efforts for the Allied Jew- ish Campaign and Mo'Os Hitim.
