dence; a Law Review cer-

ice; and she was named a

itz, who was one of De-
troit's most prominent
Labor Zionist leaders, Miss
Shevitz was a graduate of
Mumford High School. She
studied first at Smith Col-
lege, Northampton, Mass.,
before entering the Univer-
sity of Michigan, where she
earned her BA and MA de-
grees. She taught in the Sa-
line, Mich., schools before
pursuing her law studies at
Brooklyn Law Schools.
She is now clerk to Judge
Leonard Moore of the U.S.
Court of Appeals, Second
Circuit, New York. Judge
Moore said upon inviting
her to be his clerk that it is
the first time he has taken
for his staff a graduate
from a university other
than Harvard or Columbia.
