PLO Influenced
New Definitions
in Dictionary

LONDON (JTA)—The Pa-
lestine Liberation Organiza-
tion was involved in con-
sultations with the Oxford
University Press which led
\ to alterations in the Concise
\Oxford Dictionary.
' The changes involved the
definition of the words "Pa-
lestinian" and "Jerusa-
1 m." The new edition of
ictionary will define Je-
alem as a "holy city
west of River Jordan. - and
not as the capital of Israel,
as previously.
The PLO's involvement is
revealed in the latest news-
letter of the Council for the
Advancement of Arab-Brit-
ish Understanding.
After describing
CAABU's own approaches
to the Oxford University
Press, the newsletter
writes: "After consultation
with CAABU and, via
CAABU, with the PLO rep-
resentative in London, Said
Hamami, the following defi-
nition of "Palestinian," for
inclusion in the new edition
of the dictionary, was
agreed upon: "native or in-
habitant of Palestine: of,
pertaining to, or connected
with Palestine."
Last month, Jewish organ-
izations protested about the
changes, claiming they had
been made under Arab pres-
sure.

Efforts Continue
in Vindication
of Rosenbergs

NEW YORK—Continuing
the efforts by Robert and
Michael Meeropol, sons of
Julius and Ethel Rosenberg
who were convicted and ex-
ecuted on charges of espion-
age, in their quest to clear
their parents' names the Na-
tional Committee to Reopen
the Rosenberg Case Sunday
sponsored a full-page New
York Times advertisement,
entitled "An Open Letter to
Judge Irving R. Kaufman,"
i) questioning his role as pre-
siding judge during and
after the conviciton trial.
Judge Kaufman, now
Chief Judge of the U.S.
Court of Appeals of the Sec-
ond Circuit, was charged by
the committee to have
"abandoned your role as
judge and impartial arbiter
and, unknown to the de-
`-----fcmse and public, commu-
\fated with the prose-
n-_...ation regarding the sen-
tences of the Rosenbergs
and Sobell and in sustaining
and justifying the con-
viction."
The committee attributed
the information on which
the charge is based to re-
cently released FBI files ob-
tained by the Rosenbergs'
sons under the Freedom of
Informaiton Act.
The advertisement urges
Judge Kaufman to open his
files regarding the case.

Send us a Beefeater Hot Dog label, along with the
label from the hot dogs you're eating now, and we'll send
you a coupon good for 500 OFF on our famous Beefeater
meat or beef Hot Dogs.
Obviously, we're not making this offer to help sell
our competitor's hot dogs.
We're doing it to prove our hot dogs are better than
your present brand.
You see, our famous Beefeaters are made with good
lean American meat with less fat and has natural flavor-,
ings. We use no cereal, no fillers, no bi-products, no artifi-
cial flavorings.
As a result, instead of being soft and mushy, Beefeater
hot dogs are firm and plump. With a good meaty taste
and texture you can really sink your teeth into .. .
A taste and texture that tells you, from first bite to
last, our hot dogs are a good bite better.

It's an offer Oscar Mayer, Eckrich and Ball Park
don't make.
But, then we don't think they make a hot dog like
ours either.
