Detroiter to Head Dental Academy Dr. Leon Herschfus, chair- man of the board of health for the city of Southfield, has been elected national president of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Herschfus is chief of the department of dental surgery and oral medicine at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospi- tal and Medical Center and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
