MISS DENENFELD
Mr. Ernest Denenfeld of
Livonia and Mrs. Kitty De-
nenfeld of Venice, Calif., an-
nounce the engagement of
their daughter, Corinne
Gale, to Roger Holberg, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hol-
berg of Oak Park.
A July wedding is
planned.

Affluent Jews would try
to marry their daughters to
young men of illustrious in-
tellectual background, how-
ever poor; and for their
sons they sought scholars'
daughters as brides.
