ORIGINALLY SCHED-

Raleigh House's Giraffe by
Ilyse Simon Guild, City of
Hope, set for May 22, had
to be cancelled because of
the severe storm and flood
damage at the Giraffe...Not
to be deterred, however,
hordes of singles and mar-
ried couples were swinging
in the parking lot enjoying
the evening...About 400 had
to be told to come back an-
other night.
That other night has been
rescheduled for 8. p.m. Sun-
day, with WDRQ's disc jock-
ey, Jim Harper also auction-
ing some items.

Be-ach, won't easily forget
the party Sophie's son, Phil
Kaplan, threw for them re-

It was their 10th anniver-

Sophie's 80th birthday...To
help celebrate, Phil had
pianist Carl Steger for the
entertainment...Before the
evening was over, most of
the residents of the Charter
House had joined in the fes-
tivities.
