thodox circles in Israel are
disturbed by imported mezu-
zot. Mezuzot must be the
handiwork of a qualified
sopher (scribe), but with
improvements in printing
technology some printed
mezuzot are being shipped
into Israel from Japan and
the difference is difficult to
detect.

Terrorism Threat

TEL AVIV (ZINS)—Is-
raeli Gen. Rehavam Z'Evi,
who has directed the fight
against terrorists in Israel,
said in a Maariv interview
that he forsees terrorist at-
tacks on Israeli institutions
abroad.
He said the combined ter-
ror groups total 9,000 men.

for a temple addition and
dedication of a menora inad-
vertently stated the event
was scheduled to take place
May 27 at Birmingham
Temple. The dedication,
goundbreaking and installa-

Some 300 participants in the
Zionist Organization of
America summer programs
in Israel will take part in
the ceremonies for the Mac-
cabiah Games and the
ZOA's 80th national conven-
tion to be held in Israel in

United Synagogue Youth Tour Slated

NEW YORK (JTA)—The
United Synagogue of Amer-
ica (USA) announced that

TEL AVIV (ZINS)—A po-
litical analyst writing in
Maariv predicts that Egyp-
tian President Anwar Sadat
will soon begin a political of-
fensive to win American
support and military aid.
Sadat, it is said, will try
to convince the Carter Ad-
ministration that Egypt is
responsible for holding the
price down on Arab oil; the
U.S. will be offered oil ex-
ploration rights in the Red
Sea and in Egypt; he will
place his ports at the dis-
posal of the U.S. Sixth
Fleet; and he will offer
Sharm-el-Sheik- as a U.S.
base.

number of teenagers ever
to tour Israel under the aus-
pices of a single organiza-
tion will make the trip as
part of a USA Israel Pilgri-
mage.
Almost 1,000 teenagers
from the U.S., Canada, Is-
rael and Iran, with a staff
of 84 Americans and Is-
raelis, will join the pilgri-
mage.

Teitelbaum of North
Miami, Fla., who as a teen-
