Aimed at developing and
sharpening communication
and camping skills. the pro-
gram for the junior coun-

personal skills in working
with campers, to improve
their camping skills, to be
able to effectively imple-
ment the aspect of Jewish
programming into the total
program, and to gain a bet-
ter understanding of the De-
troit Jewish community.
Several members of the
community will come up to
camp during the summer
and lead discussions on
some aspects of life within
Jewish context.

will hold cornerstone-laying
ceremonies 2 p.m. June 2,
at the site of the new syna-
gogue, 27705 Lahser, South-
field. The event will also
honor Harold Warren, presi-
dent of Paragon Steel Corp.
Rossen-Neurrian Associ-
ates, architects, have de-
signed the building, which
will accommodate 200 wor-
shippers; the building con-
tract has been awarded to
Cronk and Tocco. The con-
gregation hopes the build-
ing will be completed in
time for the High Holidays.
