and women of the Sinai Hos-
pital Guild at the volun-
teers' annual luncheon meet-
ing and fashion show last
week at the Raleigh House.
A $150,000 check was pre-
sented by Guild President
Mrs. Herbert Blumberg,
who announced the gift as
the beginning of an endow-
ment fund to be used to en-

medical or educational pro-
grams and services of the
hospital.
An additional check for
$50,000 was presented by
Gift Shop Manager Mrs.
Philip Krawitz. Al! pro-
ceeds from the Gift Shop,
more than $500,000 .in 24
years are used for research.

achieved by Guild members

• Total financial contribu-
tions to Sinai for research,
building and equipment, en-
richment of in-patient oper-
ation and patient services
surpassed the $1-million
mark, and
• Volunteer service
hours have gone over two
million hours.
In addition, the Guild
dropped "Women's" from
its name and accepted
nearly 100 male members
to the 4,500-member volun-
teer organization,
