work as director general of
the Jewish Agency. He re-
placed Moshe Rivlin, who
became chairman of the
Jewish National Fund Di-
rectorate. Yaffe, 54, has
been a Knessei member-
since 1972, but he is not run-
ning for the next Knesset so
he can "devote his time to
the new position," he said.
