Third Chajes
Concert Slated

Ford Motor Co., long on
the Arab boycott list for
dealing with Israel, an-
nounced Monday that
Egypt has approved a pos-
sible joint venture to have
Ford assemble medium
trucks and make diesel en-
gines in Alexandria.
"Official sources" were
quoted as saying the Ford
project would go through if
Ford took "special measur-
es" to make sure its oper-
ations in the Arab world
were more important than
its operations in Israel.
However, a Ford spokes-
man said, "We have no
plans to change our busi-
ness operations in Israel."

Philip Greenberg, assist-
ant conductor of the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra, and a
string ensemble will be fea-
tured in the third annual M.
