Israel Possibly Aiding Arab Land
TEL AVIV (JTA)—Israel
is aiding an unidentified
Arab country in the field of
agriculture. Israel Minister
of Agriculture Aharon Uzan
disclosed in a talk to farm-
ers near Natanya Monday.
He refused to name the
country.

According to reliable
sources. a senior delegation
from that country visited Is-
rael secretly two weeks ago
as Uzan's guest. They
toured various agricultural
centers in the minister's
car. He dispensed with his
official driver on that occa,
,sion, the sottrces said. They
said the visitors were im-
pressed with Israel's prog-
ress in agriculture and
agreed to accept Israeli as-
sistance in the field.
The nature of the assist-
ance was not disclosed, but
it was learned that Israel is
also helping the Arab coun-
try develop an irrigation
system.

Shaarey Zedek's immediate
past president, Harold
Berry, "in appreciation of

rael's "United Jerusalem"
Award to Berry.
Arnon is a former secre-
tary of the Cabinet of the Is-
rael government, who after

the Southfield City Council
in the primary elktion to
be held Aug. 2.

• Mrs. Goldbaum is vice-
president of the Southfield
Historical Society (1976-77),
legislative chairman for

PTA (1975-77), member of
the Southfield Chamber of
Commerce, and a member
of the Southfield Business
and Professional Women's

She holds a degree from
Wayne State University. is

has been a city historian
