Rabbi Macy A. Gordon of Teaneck, N.J., brother of Rabbi James I. Gordon of Young Israel of Oak-WoOds, said that the achievements in community solidarity and adequate control of the essential requirements of an Orthodox group must of necessity entail day-to-day prosaic chores which ulti- mately lead up to the goal. He said leadership can be viewed as a source of dis- cipline, guidance and secur- ing allegiance to that which traditional Jewry deems im- portant in the conduct of a wholesome Jewish commu- nity.
