hospital which serves the

C. Halpern of West
Bloomfield, Mich. joined
the first- class of the na-
tion's newest law school,
Benjamin N. Cardozo
School of Law, of Yeshiva
University he took up the
thread of a family tradition
which began with his father
some 40 years ago.
Eli is the son of Rabbi Is-
rael Halpern, sipritual lead-
er for nearly 30 years of
Cong. Beth Abraham-Hillel,
\Vest Bloomfield, who at-
tended the university at
just about the time it began
making its mark on Ameri-
can higher education.
Eli's brother Larry, grad-
uated from both Yeshiva
University High SChool and
Yeshiva College, is now an
attorney in Israel.
Eli is a 1975 graduate of
Wayne State University. ma-
joring in theatre and psy-
chology.
