Elkin Tours Has
a New President

Eliott D. Samson is the
newly-elected president and
chief executive officer of
Elkin Tours, Inc., of
Southfield, it was an-
nounced by Mrs. Elliott (Be-
atrice) Elkin, chairman of
the board of directors of
the worldwide travel organi-
zation.
Samson, 31 succeeds Mr.
Elliott Elkin, founder of the
internationally-known group
charter organization who
died recently.
Samson joined Elkin
Tours in 1970 and became
sales manager in 1971, work-
ing primarily in Michigan,
northern Ohio and Ontario.
Last May, he was promoted
to vice president, a role in
which he also functioned as
an operating officer of
Elkin Tours. Since then, he
has worked with all of the
various departments of the
Elkin operation.
Elkin Tours soon will
move from the two-story
headquarters it has occu-
pied at 24275 Northwestern
Highway, Southfield, to
larger and modern facilities
in the American Center,
also in Southfield. •
