Earlier this year, David
and Bruce participated in
the Michigan Mathematic
Competition...Bruce placed
first out of 28,000 en-
trants...David was in the
top 40.
If they score in the top
eight nationally, Dave and
Bruce will then probably be-
come members of the U.S.
Mathematics team and go
to Yugoslavia for the Inter-
national competition.

A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG

Hollywood starlet, very
blonde and very sexy, told
a reporter that her real
love was a 60year-old bank-
er..."Every time he phones
me -on the coast, she
purred, "I get chinchillas
up and down my spine."

DR. MARC SHAPIRO,one

of the dermatology resi-
dents at Henry Ford Hospi-
tal, is now in private der-
matology practice...Great
American Insurance Build-
ing on Woodward in Bir-
mingham...Marc's wife,
Joan Haltman Shapiro,
M.D., has entered private
practice of obstet-
rics—gynecology on 12 Mile
in Southfield.

FORMER OAK PARK-
ERS, Lois and Harry Bress-

ler, are now living in Holly-
wood, Calif.
NAT COLEMAN is the
new athletic director at
Southfield Athletic
Club... Very popular Nat
brings with him a world of
experience for good health
club activity...Southfield
Athletic has made another
giant gain in its acquiring
of Nat.
BEST BET OF The Week-
end...For Crescent Shrine
members and
guests...Dinner meeting,
Monday evening, at Raleigh
House...with Herman Nad-
ler speaking on ''In-
telligence Today" and show-
ing a Six-Day War film he

LESLIE POSNER, 23 old
daughter of Jackie and Mar-
vin Posner, is making her
mark well-noted as an inte-
rior designer and super
graphic artist...But that
isn't all...Leslie is also an
accomplished photogra-
pher...Much of her interior
designing and graphic work
can be seen in three of the
offices at New York Life in

-

the Prudential Bldg...plus
hospitals, etc...She is cur-
rently working on Burt Shif-
man's law offices at the
Prudential Bldg.
It's all not so new with
Leslie...She was 12-years-
old when winning scholastic
awards for her art
work...When 16, Leslie went
to Dal Yagore kibutz in Is-
rael for eight weeks to gain
the experience of life...But
still she isn't satis-
fied...Leslie's vastly burn-
ing enthusiasm and ambi-
tion now has her on another
track...that of thoughts to-
ward writing a movie
script.

FAVORITE STO-
RIES...by Jerry Kalman at

Sentry Drugs on 10 Mile
and Southfield...about bever-
age distributor Meyer
Kahn, now living in Flor-
ida, whose youngster has
an unfortunate habit of
swearing...usually at the
very worst time...His par-
ents, Meyer and Ruth
Kahn, had tried every
known method of curing
him, without the slightest
success, but Meyer had one
ace left in the hole...
He knew that his son had
always wanted a rabbit,
and he offered one in ex-
change for a solemn prom-
ise that there would be abso-
lutely no swearing on the
part of his offspring...The
bargain was made, and the
boy got his rabbit...For two
Weeks, he stuck manfully to
his bargain...Then came dis-
aster...
A couple of friends vis-
ited the Kahns on a recent
Sunday, and the lady said,
"I hear you have a rabbit,
Bobby. Wouldn't you like to
show it to us?"...The boy
was delighted and rushed
out to the garden to collect
his pet...Just as he brought
it into the living room, how-
ever, the rabbit started giv-
ing birth to an enormous lit-
ter of baby rabbits...Little
Bobby watched for a Mo-
ment, dropped the mother
rabbit to the ground, and
cried, "Holy smoke, the
damn thing is falling
apart!"
