MOVING?

k

Friday, April 15, 1977

Cooper is chairman of
South Oakland past presi-
dents.

Art work was done by
Mrs. Fred Garon; and Mrs.
Al Naftal and Mrs. Morris
Schultz, secretaries for this
celebration, are preparing
the program booklet. Mrs.
Myron Joyrich and Mrs.
Harold Hoffman are co-
chairmen of decorations;
and Mrs. Louis Ruda is
chairman of public rela-
tions.
Organized in Detroit in
1916 when national Hadas-
sah was five years old, the
Detroit chapter evolved
from its small beginning
group, to separate Detroit
and South Oakland County
sections; and finally, during
the term of Mrs. Charles
Snider (then South Oakland
County president) the De-
troit Metropolitan Chapter
and its subdivisions of 19
groups was formed.

Mrs. Snider became the
first chapter president.
Mrs. Jack Perlman was
president of the Detroit
group when the merger
took place between the De-
troit organization and South
Oakland Hadassah.
Mrs. Ralph (Sally) David-
son is the oldest living past
president of Detroit Hadas-
sah. Mrs. Peter A. Martin
is the current president of
the Metropolitan Detroit
Chapter. Mrs. Abraham M.
Hershman was the founding
president.
