Young Women of Jewish
National Fund will hold
their annual fund-raising
auction, 7 p.m: May 1, at
Temple Emanu-El. Pro-
ceeds will be earmarked
for a site for a youth camp
in the American Bicenten-
nial National Park. about 20
miles northwest of Jerusa-
lem. The youth camp is
being established by the
Women of JNF.
A wine and cheese pre-
view at 7 p.m. will precede
the auction. Articles to be
auctioned will include art
works, antiques, appli-
ances, hand-crafted items,
jewelry and giftware.
The Young Women are
sponsoring a garden club
project to interest members
of the community in plan-
ting gardens of 100 trees
each in Israel in honor of
special occasions such as
Bnai Mitzva, BnOt. Mitzva
and weddings.They are also
involved in the JNF Blue
Box clearance. Membership
chairman is Barbara Sha-
piro. Phyllis Applebaum is
publicity chairman.
