NEW YORK (JTA)—Is- rael expects one million tourists in 1978, the year of Israel's 30th anniversary, it was announced by Moshe Kol, Israel Minister of Tour- ism. The celebrations will commence at Rosh Hash- ana 1977 and will continue through to Rosh Hashana 1978. The majority of Ameri- can Jews have not visited Israel, and I hope that many of those who give so much of their efforts to the United Jewish Appeal, to the Israel Bonds drives and to other projects, will show their solidarity with the Jewish state by visiting Is- rael, - Kol said. Kol said that he expected American and Canadian Jews to show their solid- arity with Israel in her quest for peace. , - Visiting Israel during our 30th anniversary year has a great political mean- ing, ,not only an economic one. Thus we can demon- strate to the world that to- gether we are for peace and that together we will never agree to plans which can endanger our future."
