Dorothy Schiff's personal
life was marked by notable
experiences. Her several
marriages are described as
indications of her own im-
pressive personality.

Two of her husbands,

George Sonnenborn, were

deeply devoted to the Zion-
ist cause and to Israel and
Dorothy responded well to
these devotions.

It was in relation to a trip
to Israel with Sonnenbarn
that this interesting account
is recorded in Potter's biog-
raphy:
"In Jerusalem we stayed
at the King David Hotel, in
which there was a shortage
of bathrooms. Rudolf took
the only room available
with one which I had been
about to take. I was
furious, but he said I could
walk through his room, and
this sort of amused me.
"He was quite forceful
and quite spoiled, besides.
Anyway. I was stuck there
because I didn't dare fly
back alone—it takes some-
one I can trust to protect
me—and I was there for
two months, while he took
cafe of his Zionist matters.
"I was surprised by the
physical aspects of Israel;
it looked very much like
the desert of all my di-
vorces, and I didn't see any
of those flowers Alicia had
raved about. ,It was grim-
mer than. I expected, -with
all kinds of hardships like
rationing, not that there
being no fats bothered me.

PASSOVER
GREETINGS

RICHARD LOVE C.L.U.
Manager

The heroic drama of the Exodus is an epic of
Jewish liberation, depicting the pilgrimage from
slavery to freedom under law.

We are aware of the many significant meanings of
this happy time, symbolizing as it does, deliverance
from all forms of suffering. As Life Insurance
people, we rejoice, with deep humility in the fact that
our daily tasks are to provide protection against
financial suffering, and we pledge ourselves anew to
the service of our friends and clients.

At this time we extend the sincere wish for a
happy Passover to one and all.
