Israel Welfare
Rolls Drop
JERUSALEM—The num-
ber of persons receiving
welfare is steadily decreas-
ing and has dropped by
34,000 in the last 24 months,
the Minister of Social Wel-
fare (and Labor), Moshe
Baram, announced last
week.
PASSOVER
,Pk_pk*** ****** ***** **** **** *i
He told the Knesset that,
in March 1975, approx-
imately 98,000 persons were
receiving state financial as-
sistance. By last month, the
number had fallen to 64,000.
"This proves," said
Baram, "that all those
newspaper articles claim-
ing social-welfare clients re-
fuse to improve their own
lot by working harder are
just hot air." -
The makers of Farm Maid Dairy Foods
extend heart-felt wishes to
the entire Jewish Community
for
a happy and healthful Passover
