They dis- cussed problems affecting Is- rael's rabbinical courts, re- ported Judy Siegel of the Je- rusalem Post. The rabbis met in the Chief Rabbinate Council chamber in Hekhal Sholomo, where they had not sat together since 1974. Rabbi Yosef had boycotted most of the council sessions through- out most of his term charging that Goren forced through measures with the automatic sup- port of the members. The meeting included only the minister and the abbis. "It was not meant S be a reconciliation," Zadok maintained, "lwt an attempt to bring order to the courts." The meeting was held in a "good spirit" said a Zadok aide. More meet- ings are expected to fol- low. The laws of Passover in the Talmud occur in the tractate Pesahim. •
