The following day,
Farouk Kaddoumi, chief
of the Palestine Libera-
tion Organization's polit-
ical department, urged
Arab countries to "abort"
American peace plans in
the Middle East by work-
ing to expel Israel from
the United Nations.
Kaddoumi accused the
U.S. Democratic Party of
"blind . support" of Israel
and he asked the National
Council to stick with the
terrorist organization's
1974 hard-line program.
Kaddoumi urged the
council to "reaffirm the
aims of our people, includ-
ing a return of the re-
fugees displaced by the
1948 war" in which Israel
gained independence.
But he did not go be-
yond this call for repatri-
ation to demand 'that Is-
rael be dismantled as a
Jewish state, council
members said.
