Friday, March 18, 1977 61 West Bank Arabs Demonstrate for Hunger-Striking Prisoners RAMALLAH, West Bank — Israeli troops last week hurled tear gas to break up a demonstra- tion by hundreds of Arab youths backing a hunger strike by Arab terrorists in Israeli jails. carrying Students Palestinian flags and singing nationalist songs gathered in the central square and hurled stones at Israeli soldiers and Arab merchants who had to close their shops, mili- tary sources said. Israeli forces broke up the demonstration and detained dozens of dem- onstrators. Meanwhile, more than 100 convicts serving sen- - tences on security charges at Jenin prison joined the hunger strike started by 450 prisoners at Ashkelon jail charging prison over- crowding. • In the meantime, Is- raeli security services are investigating the back- ground • of an organi- zation called "The Arab Revolutionary Move- ment" which claimed re- sponsibility for placing an explosive charge in a bus from travelling Beersheba to Jerusalem via Hebron. The bomb was discovered by a pas- senger who notified the driver and it was removed safely by a police sapper. Leaflets attached to the parcel that contained the bomb said it was planted by the Arab Rev- olutionary. Movement. Such an organization was not known of until now. The bomb was discov= ered last week 'near Hebron. A bus passenger gave police a description of an - Arab who boarded the bus near Hebron and left it a short while later, leaving:the parcel behind. Meanwhile, Ludvinna Jennsen, a 24-year-old Dutch woman, has been sentenced to six years' im- prisonment by a Tel Aviv district court judge. She was found guilty of activity on behalf of an Arab ter- rorist organization. She was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport on Rosh Hashana eve last September while on a mission to test the effi- ciency of the airport's security measures, appa- rently in preparation for a terrorist assault. Jennsen was a member of a Dutch extremist or- ' ganization, Red Aid. which had contacts with Arab terrorist groups. Dropsie U.
