In 1971, she was hon- - oyed by the Jewish Theological Seminary with its National Com- munity Leadership Award. Mrs. Shenkman is a life member and on the board of Hadassah and active in Women's American ORT and many other organi- zations. The Shenkmans have benefited the -UHS, Mathilde Schechter Re- sidence Hall, in the Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, the Youth Aliya village in Talpiot, Israel, and the Chabad House in Ann Arbor.
