Christian Gift „
to Allied Campaign /

In October 1974, Rabbi
Leon Fram was asked to
suggest the name of "the
most worthy cause in the
world today."
The request came from
a Polish Catholic, a skilled
laborer who had never be-
fore contributed to
charities but who now

i

wanted to do so "forluck,"
recalls Lillian Konheim,
the rabbi's secretary. "He
said he wished to give
10 perCeht Cot" his income
to the people who need it
most: Israel."
Since his first donation
in October 1974, he has
given $1,680 to the Cam-
paign, and when he re-
ceived a Christmas bonus
at work, the gift was cor-
respondingly larger.
