SEVERAL YEARS AGO,
doctors around the coun-
try gave Eva Finlayson
only 10 percent chance of
recovering from a serious
illness . . . As a last re-
sort, she went to Henry
Ford Hospital . . . and
from a 94 pound patient,
Eva came out a healthy,
good-looking woman . . .
There was nothing in the
world she could give as
enough payment for her
life . . . so has dedicated
herself as a volunteer
worker . . . aiding the
Jewish patients at Ford's
. . . counseling, helping
when possible with their
problems and being just a
wonderful lady to have
around . . . Eva Fin-
layson found life . . . and
happily gives as much of
it as she can to others.

than by name, when talk-

daughter answered the
door recently when her
insurance agent and a
handsome young trainee
rang the bell . . . The
young fellow watched her
without batting an eye as
she left the room . . . To
break the ice, the agent
commented on the piano
and asked the mother if
she played . . . "No, my
16-year-old daughter
does." . . . The lass over-
heard, but said nothing
. . . When some of her
friends dropped in that
afternoon, she remarked,
"Come into the kitchen. I
want you to meet my 52-
year-old mother."
