Dr. Reinharz will_ speak on "The Destruction of European Jewry (1933- 1945), Its Causes and Ef- fect." - The second session, be- ming April 20, will fea- ture Dr. Herbert Paper, professor of linguistics, University of Michigan. Natalie Pelavin is coor- dinator of the adult edu- cation course. He was chosen by the faculty of the Jewish Theological Seminary to teach in the experimental program of the Melton Research Center in Col- umbus, Ohio, between 1965 and 1966. Dr. Reinharz has taught in Hebrew schools, He- brew College in Brook- line, Mass.; Boston Uni- versity; Brandeis Univer- sity and Clark University before joining the faculty of the University of Michi- gan as an assistant profes- sor in the Department of History in 1972. He is a member of pro- fessional and community organizations and has written many articles for various professional pub- lications. Newsman Schoenbrun to Speak at Flint Men's Unit UJA Dinner David Schoenbrun, cor- respondent, author and news analyst, will speak at a major gifts dinner of the 1977 Flint United Jewish Appeal 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the home of Edward Osher, 5501 Sugar Bush Ln., it was announced by Malcolm Isaacs, general chair- man. Schoenbrun has won major awards in every medium of communica- tions. He began his pro- fessional career as a teacher of Romance lan- guages in New York and later became a free-lance writer on foreign affairs. At the outbreak of World War II, he entered the Army intelligence service at Eisenhower's headquarters in Algiers from 1943 to 44. He went into France in the south- ern invasion as a combat correspondent assigned to the First French Army and was awarded two of the highest decorations of the French government, the Legion of Honor and the Croix de Guerre.
