The honored couple was her sister and brother- in-law, Rosa and Julius Schaumberg, long-time members of Einstein and leaders in the Israel Bond campaign. Another brother-in-law, Henry Dorfman, was din- ner chairman and Mrs. Charlupski called on her sister Mala Dorfman; of the Israel Bond's Women's Division executive com- mittee, to participate in the award presentation. In tribute to the Schaumbergs, more than $600,000 was realized in Israel Bond subscriptions to aid Israel's economic development program. He will interview young orthodox girls who are in- terested in joining a group of girls from Israel and Europe for a nine-month program of social and educatioal work in settle- ments surrounding Sha'alvim, while living in the kibutz. Hildesheimer will also interview and advise families with children that would like to go on aliya to a kibutz. The Israel Aliyah Center reports that Is- rael is starting a program for foreign social workers seriously interested in permanent settlement in Israel. A special seven-nine month course consisting of Hebrew ulpan, plus courses in Israel's politi- cal, economic and sociological make-up will start Sept. 1 in Kfar Saba, near Tel Aviv. Housing and financial assistance from the Israeli govern- ment will be provided for participants and their families. Persons with a degree in social work, with or without experience, and under age 40, are eligible to apply. Interviews will take place March 2.
