The Laker Scholarship,
established in December
1976 in honor of the gol-
den wedding anniversary
of Sarah and Harry
Laker, carries with it a
monetary grant of $1500
for the purpose of year's
study at one of Israel's in-
stitutions of higher learn-
ing.

The performance is the
second in the series of the
"World of Jewish Enter-
tainment" sponsored by
the Beth Achim Men's
Club.
Rosen was featured in

the Israeli version of
"Hello Dolly" and other
musicals. He and Mrs.
Rosen are heard on Kol
Israel and she danced
professionally with the
Tamburin Dance Group.
Their repertoire will in-
clude Israeli, Hasidic and
Yiddish songs.

Melave Malka Cites Saltsman

Alex Saltzman will be
honored by the Beth
Yehudah •Schools at a
melava malka to take
place 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at
Yeshivath Beth Yehu-
dah, Southfield.
Saltsman is a member
of the board of directors of
Young Israel of Oak-
Woods. The Saltsman
Youth Lounge there is
named in his honor. The
Saltsmans have been ac-
tive supporters of the
schools.
Seymour Rabinowitz is
committee chairman for
the eighth annual melave
malka. Dr. Arnold Zuroff
is the dinner chairman.
The Beth Yehudah
Schools include Yeshi-
vath Beth Yehudah,
Beth Jacob School for
Girls and the Beth
Hamedrash, an advanced
