Honors Berman

Past state department
commander of the Jewish
War Veterans of Michi-
gan, Jack Berman, repre-
sentingJWV on the Allied
Veterans Council of
Michigan was named the
Council's man of the year
"for his outstanding work
and contribution to the
Allied Veterans Council
and all its affiliated vet-
erans' groups."
Berman has been a post
commander and memo-
rial home president and is
one of only four Jewish
war veterans to serve as
president of the Allied
Veterans Council during -
its 43-year existence.
