Following that year of study and teaching, fi- nanced in part by a grant from the Israel govern- ment, Dr. Watters and his family decided to remain in Israel. He has since served as an adviser to the ministries of Foreign Af- fairs and Religious Af- fairs, particularly in the area- of Jewish-Christian relations. Dr. Watters has worked as a journalist, lectured widely and published more than 50 books, arti- cles and reviews. One of his articles, "The Loneli- ness of Being Jewish: Christianity and an Un- derstanding of Israel," has been published in many magazines and journals. This month, a program he has devised for Christ- ian high school students will be launched in Israel.
