A list was published re- cently in the Israeli German-language daily. The London-based In- ternational Council of Jews from Czechos- lovakia has approached the HIAS ,offices in Geneva with the request that lists carrying the. names of immigrants born in Czechoslovakia should be made available to the ICJC to facilitate family reunion. The newspaper points out that in the first 10 months of 1976, prices rose 30 per- cent compared with the same time period a year previous. The pop-ulation con- sumed 6 percent more than it did in the first 10 months in 1975. The same ratio exists in the other branches of business. According to the news- paper, the population spent much more money for clothing, furniture, and electric appliances.
