Israel" will be discussed
by three Israeli soldiers,
currently studying in the
metropolitan area, and
an American student
going aliya, at a meeting
of the Detroit Chapter,
American Technion Soci-
ety, to take place 7:30
Thursday at the
Sheraton - Southfield
Hotel.
Moderator for the eve-
ning is Raziel Rom, who
commanded the first
tanks into Africa during
the Yom Kippur War.
On the panel will be
Ariel Bass, who will speak
of "Student Life in Techn-
ion City;" Uri Segal,
whose topic is "The Yom

Israeli Youth;" and Dan
Schnipper, on "Why an
American Student Is
Making Aliya."
Bass fought in' the Sinai
tank battles during the
Yom Kippur War, received
a mechanical engineering
degree from Technion, and
is now a Wayne State Uni-
versity graduate student.
Segal fought with a
parachute unit in the
Golan Heights during the
Yom Kippur War and in
the Sinai during the
Six-Day War. President of
the Israeli Student As-
sociation, Segal is pro-
gram manager of station
WIID's all-Hebrew pro-
gram of music, news and
features. He is an electri-
cal engineering student
at Lawrence Institute of
Technology, and worked
as project engineer with
the Israel Aircraft-Indus-
tries.
Schnipper is a business
administration student
at the University of
Michigan.
In addition to the panel,
the films "Israel Re-
ports", "Israel Youth"
and "Jerusalem High-
lights" will be shown.

Trifa Opponent
on TV Saturday

Dr. Charles Kremer,
the New York dentist who
has been pushing the U.S.
government for 25 years
to take action against Ar-
chbishop Valerian Trifa
of Grass Lake, Mich., for
alledged war crimes
committed in Romania in
1941, will be interviewed
on "Bill Bonds' Detroit,"
WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) at
7 p.m. Saturday.
The 30-minute inter-
view was taped during
Dr. Kremer's visit to De-
troit three - weeks ago.
WXYZ received a number
of bomb Threats after
braodcasting a portion of
Dr. Kremer's press con-
ference at - that time.
