Rabbi Milton Rosen- baum's 20 years of service at Temple Emanu-El will be marked at the begin- ning of the temple's silver anniversary celebrations tonight with the presen- tation of a trip to Israel to the rabbi and his wife, Thelma, as well as a scroll of appreciatibn. Rabbi Rosenbaum has led the congregation since 1956. In 1965, Rabbi Rosenbaum received the honorary degree of Doc- tor of Divinity from the Hebrew Union College — Jewish Institute of Religion. He has served as a member of the executive board of the Central Con- ference of American Rabbis and of its commit- tee on religious education and its resolutions com- mittee. Currently he is chairman of the CCAR committee on relief and subvention. He has served on the Commission of Jewish Education of the Union of American Hebrew Con- gregations (UAHC) and CCAR, the executive committee of the Jewish Community Council of Metropolitan Detroit, the board of the United He- brew Schools and Mid- rasha, and has served as president of Religious As- sistance and Protective 'Services, Inc. of Oakland County. He is a member of the Board of the Psychologi- cal Studies and Consulta- tion Programs, Inc., a member of the board of governors of the Jewish Welfare Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and Vice president of the Rab- binical Commission of Metropolitan Detroit.
