NEW YORK — Ambas-
sador Haim Herzog, Is-

Nations, will be the guest
speaker at the dinner ses-
sion of the 55th annual
national conference of
the American ORT Fed-

prime focus of our current
program — over 60 per-
cent of our almost $50 mil-

lion budget is designated
for educational programs
for 50,000 youth and
adults in the Jewish state
—it is both logical and
proper that our major ad-

Joint Israel-Egypt
Reactor Proposed

NEW YORK — Israel
will propose that the U.S.
build a nuclear power
plant in the Negev to
supply electriCity to both
Egypt and Israel. The
proposal, according to
Newsweek magazine, will
counter President-Elect
Jimmy Carter's demands
for international support
for a nuclear non-
proliferation treaty.
Israel, according to
Newsweek, does not want
to submit to inspection by
the International Atomic
Energy Agency "since
they say it is filled with
their enemies."
