I read your commen-
tary on the lib movement
and Almighty's identity
in the Dec. 17 (Jewish)
News with interest.
What's in a name? etc.,
and a man is a man for all
that! Unfortunately, the
lib movement just skims
the surface and does not
adequately express the
inner emotional feelings.
Legislation will not
change this, even in a
generation.
A week ago I attended a
professional meeting in
the (Ann Arbor) Michigan
Women's League Build-
ing. I was a charter
member when it was
opened, at a time when
women were inadmissa-•
ble to the Michigan Un-
ion. I noticed in the lobby
newsstand a paperback,
entitled, "A Dangerous
Experiment — 100 years
of women at the Univer-
sity of Michigan" by
Dorothy McGuigan. As I
leafed through the pages,
one sentence caught my
attention, "Ridicule was
an effective weapon
against women's ambi-
tions". A quote from.1870,
but just as true today, lib

feminist movement, but
not in the libs or their
modus operandi. Many
things should be changed
and the interpretation of
