Schlussel, president of the Metropolitan Detroit JNF Council. Tu b'Shevat, the New Year of Trees, is observed on Feb. 3 and Feb. 5 has been designated as JNF Sabbath. Every synagogue and temple will be urged to partici- pate in marking JNF Sabbath. In Israel everyone, especially children, plants a tree on Tu b`Shevat. Thousands of pupils in De- troit Jewish schools will participate by planting trees. Some organizations al- ready are planning the celebration of JNF Month by arranging special programs and meetings.- JNF speakers and films are available. For infor- mation, may be call the JNF office, 968-0820. Havdala On Saturday evening a separation is made bet- ween the Sabbath and the weekday by a special ceremony — Havdala — in which blessings are re- cited over a cup of wine, a braided candle and a spice box. This beautiful ritual symbolizes the five senses for which joyful gratitude is offered at the beginning of the new week. With the departure of Queen Sabbath, the Jew immediately begins to look forward to greet- ing her again. Sun. Open at 1 pm "TWO MINUTE WARNING" at 1:20 3:20 5:20 7:20. & 9:25.
