of complicity in the most
heinous crime of our gen-
eration — the genocidal
destruction of European
Jewry."

the Governing Board of
the National Council of
Churches is an offense
against the Jewish com-
munity. It is also an em-
barassment to the entire
religious community for it
compromises the claim of
the religious community to
moral leadership."

relationship with the Na-
tional Council of
Churches, and wish the
relationship to continue,"
the SCA resolution con-
cludes, "we hope the NCC
will reexamine its posi-
tion on this issue and take
the only action consistent
with its character and
mission — the suspension
of Bishop Trifa without
further delay."

NJ Senate Seeks

— A resolution calling for
action against alleged
Nazi war criminals resid-
ing in the U.S. has been
unanimously adopted by
the New Jersey State Se-
nate.
The resolution, which
was proposed by the
Jewish Federation of
North Jersey, calls on the
U.S. Justice Department
and the Immigration and
Naturalization Service to
act "dilligently and ex-
peditiously" on the
charges against some 80
ex-Nazis.
